The Bread of Life III

(Becoming a “Fool” Spiritually)

OPENING STATEMENT

  1. This side of life is governed by the intellectual mind.  To master the spiritual realm and have supernatural success in this life you must become a “fool” spiritually.

FOUDATIONAL TEXTS

  1. Psalm 100:1-3
    1. On one side of life we are connected to the natural realm by the 5 physical senses; on the other side of life (the supernatural realm), we often conduct ourselves like sheep.
  2. Isaiah 53:6
  3. James 1:21
    1. At the moment of salvation, you receive the engrafted voice of God in your human spirit.
    2. We have an entitlement as born again [believers] to walk like God in the earth.
  4. Psalm 23:1-6
    1. The Lord shepherds us with His voice.
    2. When God is leading, you will arrive at a place of “no wants”.
    3. Green pastures are the pastures of the supernatural.   This is the realm where you have health, prosperity, and wealth; you have what you say; the realm where new body parts grow.

  1. The miracles of Jesus point to the other side
    1. St. John 6:1-12
      1. We have a blood bought right [as believers] to the miraculous.  (verse 2)
      2. Regardless of the circumstances, Jesus already has the answer /solution to any situation in life.  (verse 6)
      3. On the natural side of life, 2 fish and 5 loaves were limited (just enough for the lad); on the supernatural side, 2 fish and 5 loaves becomes more than enough to feed 5000 men, their wives and children.
      4. In other words, you may start with nothing but when Jesus is with you, He can transform nothing to little to a superfluous amount.
      5. Jesus transferred the 2 fish and 5 loaves from the natural realm to the supernatural realm then back to the natural realm.
      6. St. Matthew 14:16-32
        1. Jesus instructs the disciples to go to the other side conveying they are not limited to just the natural side.
        2. Walking supernatural is natural to Jesus because of His diet (eating a steady stream of the words from God).  (verse 25)
        3. If we will eat a steady stream of God’s word, it will not be a struggle to exercise authority over natural circumstances.
        4. Peter placed a demand on the supernatural side knowing His potential by watching and following Jesus.  (verses 28 & 29)
        5. You cannot live the supernatural life (go over to the other side) until you get the Word. (verses 28 & 29)
        6. In other words, the word of God is the bridge to the supernatural life.  The Word transfers you to the supernatural realm where there are no limitations or restrictions.
        7. You cannot operate in fear and doubt (in the heart) and live a supernatural life.
        8. The reach of Jesus’ hand will always keep you from falling.  (verse 31)
  2. Jesus’ diet of the Word
    1. St. Matthew 4:1-11 [Emphasis verses 4, 7, 10  11]
      1. Bread is said to be the central sustainer of life.
      2. Bread is a universal commodity.
      3. Bread is associated with life, health, nourishment and prosperity.
      4. St. Matthew 4:4, MSG
      5. St. John 6:15-32 [Emphasis verses 26-32]
        1. You are not limited to natural rules when you eat a steady diet of the Word.  This bread will connect you to everlasting life (the same life form as Jesus).  (verses 20-26)
        2. God is “not just historical” bread but the bread of life today.  (verses 29-32)
        3. We can see the miraculous now if we feed on the Word.
        4. Jesus is the Bread of Life.
