The Creation Stage IV

(Genesis Chapter 1 Completion -B)

OPENING OBSERVATIONS

  1. The word of God is the method through which God releases His power, His wisdom and His mind.
    1. I Corinthians 2:9-10
      1. Your natural eyes and ears cannot perceive the things of God.  In other words, you cannot receive all that God has promised in His word naturally.
      2. Studying the Word will convince your mind that the word of God is greater than the senses.
      3. An un-renewed mind is opened to the natural realm not the spiritual realm.
      4. A renewed mind is immersed in the word of God.  (Scripture reference – Romans 12:1-2)
    2. The book of Genesis is God and all His vastness on display.

  1.          I.            Genesis 1
    1. Day six – the creation of land creature and man
      1. Genesis 1:24-31
        1. Man is the crowning jewel of God’s creation.
        2. The purpose of man was to establish the will of God on earth as it is in heaven.
      2. It is the will of God that the crowning jewel of His creation showcases Him:
        1. Psalm 2:7-8
        2. Psalm 45:7
        3. Psalm 91:1-16
          1. The blessing of God is in abiding under His word. In other words, the Word is our umbrella of protection.
          2. The word of God is designed to take the pressure of life off the believer.
          3. Psalm 110:1
          4. Isaiah 48:16
            1. You come near to God through His word.
            2. God reveals His mind when you come into His presence.
      3. Genesis 1:28
        1. Subdue – to harness the earth’s potential for the believer’s benefit.
        2. The earth was created to yield its resources for our benefit.
      4. Mankind was also encouraged to enjoy the tree of life and all the trees of creation except the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.  (Scripture references – Genesis 2:9, 16)
      5. God never wanted man to receive information naturally.
      6. Partaking of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil was Adam’s connection to the natural realm of limitations.
    2. Day seven – God rests from His work
      1. Genesis 2:1-2
        1. Everything we will ever need to live the “big life” is already finished.
        2. Colossians 1:15-16
          1. Everything in the earth and everything in heaven were finished on the sixth day.
          2. The measure of thought and study you give to the Word connects you to the finished work of God.  (Scripture reference – St. Mark 4:24, AMP)
