The Bread of Life – The Sovereignty of God V

(Sovereigns Create and Make)

INTRODUCTION

  1. If God is sovereign, and we are created in His image and after His likeness, that makes us sovereign as well.  Likewise, if God has what He says, we have the potential to have what we say as long as we are saying what He says.
  2. It is not the sovereign will of God to kill any of His children (a misnomer often heard at funerals).  (Scripture reference – St. John 10:10, KJV, AMP)
    1. St. Matthew 6:9
      1. Once saved, God becomes our Father [who does not harm His children].
    2. St. Matthew 7:7-11
      1. God desires for you to have what you say according to His word.  Your answer may be delayed by satanic interference. (Scripture reference – Daniel 10)
  3. Believers can die prematurely but that’s not the will of God.  The longevity of man according to God is 120 years.
    1. Ecclesiastes 7:17
    2. I Corinthians 15:26
    3. Psalm 90:10
      1. Moses prays to God to reduce man’s span of life from 120 years to 80 years.
      2. Reason of strength – the amount of Word you know and apply.
    4. Psalm 90:12
    5. Proverbs 3:1-2
      1. You can add days to your life based on your knowledge and application of the Word.
      2. However, once you come into the Kingdom of God, the enemy will target you with a force that he does not direct toward the sinner.  You can defeat the enemy with regular deposits of the Word.
  4. Examples of God’s will concerning life and those that died before their time.
    1. Jesus raises Lazarus from the dead – St. John 11
    2. The widow of Nain’s son is raised from the dead and returned to his mother – St. Luke 7
    3. Jairus’ young daughter is raised from the dead – St. Mark 5
    4. Jesus is resurrected from the dead.
  5. Sovereign or the sovereignty of God means…
    1. God can use anything and everything to work His purpose in the earth.
    2. Supernatural, trumps, excels, exceeds, surpasses, changes [the natural order of things]
    3. Ephesians 3:20, KJV, AMP
    4. Psalm 8:1
