George M. Matthews, II

Pastor George M. Matthews, II

George M. Matthews, II is Senior Pastor and Founder of New Life Interfaith Ministries, Inc., Bessemer, Alabama; He is ordained, licensed, and has pastored churches in the Pentecostal and Baptist denominations. Pastor Matthews received a charge and commission from the Lord to begin instructing and building up the Body of Christ in the area of “the unity of the Faith,” that unity which exists corporately in Christ.

Pastor Matthews believes the Kingdom of God on Earth is comprised of a conglomeration of all Christian faiths, and for this purpose, the Church should emphasize its commonality in the Lord, rather than the lesser areas of doctrinal differences. The scope of this “interfaith” ministry is to develop believers in the area of our likenesses in Christ, irrespective of our denominational differences.

The New Life Christian School of Excellence serves children in grades K5 to 5th. Each staff member seeks to meet the interest and needs of each child according to his or her abilities in all areas of development.

The Learning Center serves children ages six months to four years. We are committed to providing a safe and nurturing environment, as well as individualized, age appropriate learning experiences.

January 2019, Pastor Matthews was officially assigned to the living & loving congregation of Calvary Resurrection Christian Church in the Center Point community of Birmingham AL, founded by Pastors Gary & Linda Anderson Whitt in 1989. The world-impacting, earthly work of both Pastors was completed with the Master’s “well-done” response.

Calvary Resurrection Christian Church has a full-time day staff and Academy (CRCA) offering quality education to the residents of the greater Birmingham community.

The Calvary Resurrection Christian Academy impacts students from 2 years of age to the 5th grade.

New Life Interfaith Ministries and Calvary Resurrection Christian Church are members of Creflo Dollar Ministerial Association (CDMA) under the direction of Dr. Creflo Dollar, Senior Pastor, World Changers Church International, College Park, Georgia.  In June 1997, Pastor Matthews was appointed to a position on the Board of Directors of the International Covenant Ministries, which later evolved into and functions under the banner of Creflo Dollar Ministerial Association, which operates from and has its executive offices in College Park, Georgia.   The purpose of this entity is to provide a ministerial covering for many, regardless of denominational affiliations.

The President and Founder’s heart is to “serve ministers and ministries by sharing principles he has learned of God, with the intent of and through the exchange of covenant, maximizing efficiency and positively affect the factor of time often lost during the course of effective learning and development.”

Pastor Matthews is the husband of Judith C. Matthews and father of two sons, Oscar and George III, and one daughter, Brianna.

Pastor Judith C. Matthews

Pastor Judith C. Matthews is a native of Gainesville Florida and is the wife of George M. Matthews, II, senior pastor and founder of New Life Interfaith Ministries, Inc.  They have two sons, Oscar and George III, and one daughter, Brianna. Pastor Judith enjoys her involvement in the women’s ministry and her overall administrative responsibilities at New Life.  At present, she serves as the Executive Director of New Life Interfaith Ministries, Inc., where she oversees the daily operation of the ministry.  Pastor Judith says her greatest enjoyment in life comes from studying the Word of God.  The message she feels God has commissioned her to impart to the Body of Christ stems from Hosea 4:6, “…my people are destroyed for lack of knowledge.” “In every area of our lives, if we are experiencing failure, it is because we have not established the Word of God in our hearts and His promises to us, the Body of Christ.  Many have heard the Word, but have not allowed it to take root in their lives.  The Word of God takes root in our lives when we become doers, practicing and applying the Word on a daily basis.  To become the ‘complete woman’ God has created within us requires consistent feeding upon His Words because they are spirit, and they are life.” Pastor Judith C.
