Baby Dedication Ceremony

On behalf of Pastors George & Judith Matthews, Calvary Resurrection Christian Church, and New Life Interfaith Ministries, congratulations on making the decision to dedicate your child to Christ.

NLIM and CRCC will host a joint Baby Dedication Ceremony for children 24 months old and younger on Sunday, August 9 during the 9:30 AM Worship Service.  Only parents and the child being dedicated may attend the ceremony.  All other guests may view the dedication ceremony via the live broadcast.  No exceptions.  Face coverings are required.

Due to the current challenges associated with COVID-19, attire guidelines are relaxed.  Parents nor the child to be dedicated are required to wear specific attire.  Parents will be asked to depart the sanctuary when the ceremony ends.  All participants must register by Sunday, August 2.

What is a Baby Dedication Ceremony?  It is a ceremony in which believing parents make a commitment before the Lord to submit a child to God’s will and to raise that child according to God’s Word and God’s ways.   Christian parents who dedicate a child are making a promise to the Lord to do everything within their power to raise the child in a godly way, prayerfully until he or she can make a decision on his or her own to follow God. Parents who make this vow of commitment are instructed to raise their child in the ways of God, and not according to their own ways.

Don’t you see that children are God’s best gift?
The fruit of the womb His generous legacy?
Like a warrior’s fistful of arrows
are the children of a vigorous youth.
Oh, how blessed are you parents,
with your quivers full of children!
Your enemies don’t stand a chance against you;
you’ll sweep them right off your doorstep.
Psalm 127:3-5 (Message)
