The Bread of Life III
(Becoming a “Fool” Spiritually)
OPENING STATEMENT
- This side of life is governed by the intellectual mind. To master the spiritual realm and have supernatural success in this life you must become a “fool” spiritually.
FOUDATIONAL TEXTS
- Psalm 100:1-3
- On one side of life we are connected to the natural realm by the 5 physical senses; on the other side of life (the supernatural realm), we often conduct ourselves like sheep.
- Isaiah 53:6
- James 1:21
- At the moment of salvation, you receive the engrafted voice of God in your human spirit.
- We have an entitlement as born again [believers] to walk like God in the earth.
- Psalm 23:1-6
- The Lord shepherds us with His voice.
- When God is leading, you will arrive at a place of “no wants”.
- Green pastures are the pastures of the supernatural. This is the realm where you have health, prosperity, and wealth; you have what you say; the realm where new body parts grow.
- The miracles of Jesus point to the other side
- St. John 6:1-12
- We have a blood bought right [as believers] to the miraculous. (verse 2)
- Regardless of the circumstances, Jesus already has the answer /solution to any situation in life. (verse 6)
- On the natural side of life, 2 fish and 5 loaves were limited (just enough for the lad); on the supernatural side, 2 fish and 5 loaves becomes more than enough to feed 5000 men, their wives and children.
- In other words, you may start with nothing but when Jesus is with you, He can transform nothing to little to a superfluous amount.
- Jesus transferred the 2 fish and 5 loaves from the natural realm to the supernatural realm then back to the natural realm.
- St. Matthew 14:16-32
- Jesus instructs the disciples to go to the other side conveying they are not limited to just the natural side.
- Walking supernatural is natural to Jesus because of His diet (eating a steady stream of the words from God). (verse 25)
- If we will eat a steady stream of God’s word, it will not be a struggle to exercise authority over natural circumstances.
- Peter placed a demand on the supernatural side knowing His potential by watching and following Jesus. (verses 28 & 29)
- You cannot live the supernatural life (go over to the other side) until you get the Word. (verses 28 & 29)
- In other words, the word of God is the bridge to the supernatural life. The Word transfers you to the supernatural realm where there are no limitations or restrictions.
- You cannot operate in fear and doubt (in the heart) and live a supernatural life.
- The reach of Jesus’ hand will always keep you from falling. (verse 31)
- St. John 6:1-12
- Jesus’ diet of the Word
- St. Matthew 4:1-11 [Emphasis verses 4, 7, 10 11]
- Bread is said to be the central sustainer of life.
- Bread is a universal commodity.
- Bread is associated with life, health, nourishment and prosperity.
- St. Matthew 4:4, MSG
- St. John 6:15-32 [Emphasis verses 26-32]
- You are not limited to natural rules when you eat a steady diet of the Word. This bread will connect you to everlasting life (the same life form as Jesus). (verses 20-26)
- God is “not just historical” bread but the bread of life today. (verses 29-32)
- We can see the miraculous now if we feed on the Word.
- Jesus is the Bread of Life.
- St. Matthew 4:1-11 [Emphasis verses 4, 7, 10 11]
