The Creation Stage IV
(Genesis Chapter 1 Completion -B)
OPENING OBSERVATIONS
- The word of God is the method through which God releases His power, His wisdom and His mind.
- I Corinthians 2:9-10
- Your natural eyes and ears cannot perceive the things of God. In other words, you cannot receive all that God has promised in His word naturally.
- Studying the Word will convince your mind that the word of God is greater than the senses.
- An un-renewed mind is opened to the natural realm not the spiritual realm.
- A renewed mind is immersed in the word of God. (Scripture reference – Romans 12:1-2)
- The book of Genesis is God and all His vastness on display.
- I Corinthians 2:9-10
- I. Genesis 1
- Day six – the creation of land creature and man
- Genesis 1:24-31
- Man is the crowning jewel of God’s creation.
- The purpose of man was to establish the will of God on earth as it is in heaven.
- It is the will of God that the crowning jewel of His creation showcases Him:
- Psalm 2:7-8
- Psalm 45:7
- Psalm 91:1-16
- The blessing of God is in abiding under His word. In other words, the Word is our umbrella of protection.
- The word of God is designed to take the pressure of life off the believer.
- Psalm 110:1
- Isaiah 48:16
- You come near to God through His word.
- God reveals His mind when you come into His presence.
- Genesis 1:28
- Subdue – to harness the earth’s potential for the believer’s benefit.
- The earth was created to yield its resources for our benefit.
- Mankind was also encouraged to enjoy the tree of life and all the trees of creation except the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. (Scripture references – Genesis 2:9, 16)
- God never wanted man to receive information naturally.
- Partaking of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil was Adam’s connection to the natural realm of limitations.
- Genesis 1:24-31
- Day seven – God rests from His work
- Genesis 2:1-2
- Everything we will ever need to live the “big life” is already finished.
- Colossians 1:15-16
- Everything in the earth and everything in heaven were finished on the sixth day.
- The measure of thought and study you give to the Word connects you to the finished work of God. (Scripture reference – St. Mark 4:24, AMP)
- Genesis 2:1-2
- Day six – the creation of land creature and man
