The Integrity of the Word II

(God’s Words – God’s Integrity)

  1. You cannot separate God from His word.
  2. We will begin to have boldness and confidence in the Word when we understand that God’s power is in His word.

  1. James 1:22
    1. You are responsible for hearing the Word and doing the Word.
    2. I Thessalonians 5:23
      1. Man is a three part being.
      2. Your spirit is the real you where either God or Satan tabernacles.
      3. The spirit needs the 5 physical senses to have contact in the natural realm.
      4. Your spirit understands that you should be just like Jesus.  (Scripture reference – I John 4:17b)
      5. If you hear the Word without doing the Word, your spirit can be deceived by the body and soul into thinking you are not supposed to be just like Jesus.
      6. It’s the believer’s responsibility to “build up” your true self so that you begin to dictate to the body and soul.
        1. Jude 20 (KJV & The Amplified Bible)
  2. Romans 2:13

    1. Integrity – honesty, trust, soundness (God’s word can be trusted); God’s word testifies of His character, power, and faith.
    2. Psalm 12:6-7
  2. God’s word is a matter of His integrity.

    2. In other words, God and His word are one.  (Scripture reference – St. John 10:30)
  3. St. John1:1
    1. The Word is Jesus.
    2. God begins with His word.
    3. A word is a unit of language that functions as a principle carrier of meaning and thought.
    4. God uses words to grasp His thoughts.  In other words, you read God’s thoughts to gain concept of His intentions for His people.
    5. Jesus is God’s thoughts and intentions towards man.

  1.         I.            God’s words become things.
    1. St. John 1:1
    2. Genesis 1:1-3
      1. In the beginning, God created two realms.  The realm of heaven controls the lower realm which is the earth.
        1. The earth and its’ systems are not God’s best or God’s fullness.  In other words, the earth does not limit God.
        2. God’s best is His supernatural ability to reverse the natural order of things which He created.
        3. God’s words are not used to illustrate but to create (God’s word is creative).
          1. Genesis 1:20
            1. For example, the waters made sea creatures (the fish) and the fowl of the air.
            2. Because we are made in the image of God, whatever we say creates (whatever you say begins to look for you).
            3. Christians are designed to tell the truth, which is the word of God and not the facts [how things appear in the natural].
          2. Job 22:28
