Statement of Faith

  • We believe in the one true God who has revealed and manifested Himself in three persons: The Father, Son, and Holy Spirit (Matthew 28:19; I John 5:7).

  • We believe Jesus Christ is both true God and true man, and it is impossible to come to God the Father by any other means other than through the Son Jesus Christ and his shed blood (St. John 1:14; St. John 14:6; Acts 4:11-12; I Timothy 3:16; Hebrews 1:2-3).

  • We believe the Holy Spirit is a divine Person (St. John 14:16-17; 26).

  • We believe the Old and New Testaments are God’s divinely inspired words and are our infallible guides in matters pertaining to conduct and doctrine (Romans 15:4; I Corinthians 10:6; II Timothy 3:15-17; II Peter 1:21).

  • We believe all have sinned, come short of the glory of God and are in need of salvation. Through Adam’s fall, sin came into the world and man’s first steps to the New Birth experience are repentance and belief in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior (Mark 1:15; Romans 5:12-15).

  • We believe salvation has been provided in the redemptive work of Christ and is available to every believer (St. John 3:16; Romans 10:8-10, 13).

  • We believe in the doctrine of sanctification as a progressive work of grace, beginning at the time of the new birth and continuing until the consummation of salvation at Christ’s return (I Corinthians 1:30; II Corinthians 3:18; Philippians 3:12-14; I Thessalonians 5:23; Hebrews 12:14).

  • We believe in the Baptism of the Holy Spirit as a separate and distinct experience from the New Birth and it is the will of God that every believer be filled with the Holy Spirit with the initial evidence of speaking in tongues (Matthew 3:11; Luke 24:49; St. John 20:22; Acts 1:1-5; Acts 2:4; Acts 10:44-46; Acts 19:1-6).

  • We believe spiritual, mental and physical healing is provided in the redemptive work of Christ and is available to every believer (Exodus 15:26; Isaiah 53:5; Jeremiah 17:14; Matthew 8:17; I Peter 2:24; III John 2).

  • We believe the Church consists of all those who have received Jesus Christ as their personal Savior, and that we each should lay a foundation of biblical truth and experience upon which we build our lives (Isaiah 28:9-10; Matthew 13:44-48, 16:12-14; St. John1:12, 8:47; Hebrews 6:12).

  • We believe there shall be a bodily resurrection of the just and of the unjust, and those who physically die in Christ will immediately go to be with Him in a literal place known as Heaven. The place known as “Heaven” will eventually be transferred to Earth, where the Kingdom of God, man’s rule of the Earth with God’s authority, shall continue. This process begins at the New Birth (Revelation 21:1-2). Those who die without Christ will be eternally lost in a literal place known as Hell (Matthew 5:22, 10:28; Luke 16:19-31; II Corinthians 5:6-9; Revelation 20:11-14).

  • We believe in the personal, visible, imminent return of Jesus Christ (I Thessalonians 4:13-18).

  • We believe in water baptism by immersion in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit; observance of the Lord’s Supper; the nine Gifts of the Spirit being operative in the church to enjoy the fullness of God; and laying on of hands for confirmation, ordination, impartation and ministry of healing to the sick (Isaiah 53:5; Matthew 8:17; Matthew 28:19; Mark 16:18; St. John 3:22; Acts 8:17; Acts 8:36-39; Acts 13:1-3; I Corinthians 12:11; I Timothy 4:14; Hebrews 6:2; I Peter 2:24).

  • We believe the tithe of our earnings is holy unto God (Leviticus 27:30-34; Malachi 3:8; Matthew 23:23; Hebrews 7:4-10).

  • We believe that Jesus continues to bestow all five of the Ministry Gifts (Apostle, Prophet, Evangelist, Pastor, and Teacher) to His body. They are operative today for the perfecting of the saints to do the work of the ministry and prepare and send forth believers to fulfill the great commission (Matthew 28:19-20; I Corinthians 12:28; Ephesians 4:7-13).

  • We believe in women in Ministry; that God’s ministry and special gifts are given without regard to ethnicity, social class or gender, “…and gave gifts unto men” (Greek: anthropos, human beings) (Galatians 3:26-28; Ephesians 4:1-12).
